Civil Structural Engineer
Brian Swartwood is the kind of engineer whose career speaks volumes. With over 26 years in civil and structural engineering, he’s built more than just infrastructure—he’s built trust, leadership, and a reputation for excellence. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Brian holds professional licenses in Texas, Kansas, and Colorado, and has consistently delivered high-impact results across engineering design, project management, and operations.
What sets Brian apart isn’t just his technical expertise—it’s his ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation in the field. His work has earned him multiple industry awards and recognition through published research, reflecting both depth and dedication to advancing the profession.

Brian lives in Amarillo, Texas with his wife and four children, where he balances professional excellence with a strong commitment to family and community.
Robbie Burd
Managing Partner
Robbie Burd is the kind of leader who brings quiet confidence and decades of experience to every project he touches. With over 25 years of experience in project development, planning, and management, he’s built a career rooted in precision, accountability, and a deep understanding of how complex systems come together. From power distribution and oil & gas to chemical processing and national defense programs, Robbie has led projects in some of the most demanding environments out there.
Before launching Premier Technical Solutions with Brian, Robbie held key roles at Zachry Engineering, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Pantex Plant, and DD Grid. His work has spanned project controls, program management, and leadership across high-stakes initiatives, earning him a reputation for being the person you want in the room when the pressure’s on.
Robbie earned his B.S. from Wayland Baptist University and his M.A. from Madison University. He lives in Amarillo, Texas with his wife. They have two sons and daughter-in-law. He brings the same steady, thoughtful approach to his personal life that he brings to every project.
